Circulation Filtration Process

Step 1:Aquaculture Tank Wastewater Collection

1. Wastewater within the aquaculture tank flows by gravity toward the Central Waste Collector (indicated as 1 in the diagram).

2. The wastewater then overflows into the upper section of the Compass filter (indicated as 2 in the diagram).

Step 2: Primary Solid-Liquid Separation

 1. The Compass filter offers a filtration precision of 38–48 µm; particulate matter ≥48 µm is retained on the filter screen and subsequently discharged.

2. The remaining water passes through the filter screen and flows into the storage tank located at the bottom of the compass(indicated as 3 in the diagram).

Step 3:The water pump lifts the water to the centrifugal filter.

1. The storage tank is equipped with a variable-frequency water pump.
2. This pump conveys the water into the centrifugal filter (indicated as 4 in the diagram).

Step 4:Deep Physical Filtration

1. The centrifugal filter provides a filtration precision of 18–23 µm; particulate matter ≥ 23 µm is retained on the filter screen and subsequently discharged.
2. The remaining water is subjected to centrifugal force, then forcibly cut, degassed, and disinfected with ultraviolet light as it passes through a stainless steel filter screen. It subsequently flows into the biological filtration tank (labeled 5 in the diagram).

Step 5:Biological filtration

1. The biofiltration tank contains specialized aquaculture filter media and is continuously aerated via an aeration system to cultivate beneficial bacteria, which then decompose residual ammonia nitrogen and nitrites.
2. After passing through the biofiltration tank, the treated water flows back into the aquaculture tank.

With our unique design, the entire process requires only one lift using a single water pump; the rest is completed by gravity overflow.

This is a high-density bass ras farming project, and we used a modular three-stage filtration system for the aquaculture water treatment systems.

In the later stages of farming, the daily feed intake per fish tank reached 50 kg, but the overall water quality remained stable. Aside from the drainage from the filtration system, this is virtually a zero-discharge aquaculture system.
